About

Our Story

EJEO (ej-EE-Ō) Recruiting was created by Kevin Davis in 2023.

Growing up with a Dad who woke up at 3:30am to drive city buses, Kevin was always taught to give 100% regardless of what the task might be. This mentality led to good grades in school and successes in both the hockey rink and on the baseball field. It wasn’t until Kevin was older that he realized how valuable this lesson was that he had been taught.

Kevin attended Gonzaga University where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree and played Division 2 Club Hockey for GU. Having played goalie for nearly 3 decades, Kevin is used to being in high pressure situations where everyone else is relying on him.

In 2017, Kevin joined Management Recruiters of Coeur d’Alene as a full-service Banking Recruiter. After being with the company for more than 5 years, earning Pacesetter Status (annual production over $330,000), and becoming one of the top producers in MRCDA’s nearly 20-year history, Kevin left to start EJEO Recruiting. His love for recruiting and getting to know people has only grown over the years and he prides himself on his ability to ask the right questions and then listen, because he understands that it’s much easier to hit a target if you know which target to aim at.

Kevin grew up in Spokane, WA and currently lives in the Spokane Valley with his wife, 4 kids, and golden retriever. Prior to having kids, Kevin and his wife lived in Haiti for a while and did some mission work partnering with several excellent orphanages, and they both long to visit their friends in Haiti again someday. Adoption has been important in their family and not just because it got them their Golden Retriever, Tucker. Kevin’s faith plays a central role in why he believes everyone is inherently valuable and deserving of respect and it’s the catalyst for why he always strives to be a man of integrity.

Our Inspiration

So, what does EJEO mean? Is it Greek? Is it a portmanteau? Is it a Greek portmanteau? No, it’s simply an acronym. EJEO is an acronym representing my children. When thinking of what I wanted the business to be called, there were several names that I liked but none of them fully encapsulated why I was starting the business. As a father, I’m constantly assessing what I’m doing and whether that is modeling the footsteps I want my kids to follow. Ultimately, my family is one of the foundational reasons why I work hard and strive to be a man of integrity every day. Now, I don’t just represent them, they represent me.

Values to live by

Consistency

My wife jokes that the Kevin you see every day is the same Kevin you would see if the house was on fire. I like things to be predictable and I live my life in a way that allows my friends and family to always know what they are getting with me. To me, being consistent is being reliable.

Integrity

I’ve always striven to be a person of integrity, from how I interact with others to big life decisions. Sometimes, integrity requires what feels like sacrifice at first but later reaps a much better reward. I can unequivocally say that I’ve never regretted a decision I made from integrity.

Responsibility

I’ve always considered myself a responsible person but becoming a husband and subsequently, a father of 4 has given me a fuller understanding of what it means to be responsible. Being responsible to love and care for my family and everything that comes with it has been a learning experience of the best kind. It’s an experience that has grown me as a man and though the process is at times difficult, I wouldn’t want it any other way.
